Anti-inflammatory Smoothie – Pineapple, Coconut, blueberries and Greens!

Over the past few weeks, I have been struggling with SPD. Pregnancy can be painful for many women, but coping with SPD can really affect your mood. Pain killers are limited so I have been on a mission to find natural alternatives to help heal your body from the inside, to give some anti-inflammatory benefits and also help make me feel brighter too.

I found some great advice from Dr Axe and coupled with the amazing things I have learnt since becoming an Independent Consultant at Neal’s Yard Remedies Organic, I have been improving my health from the inside.

I have settled on creating a smoothie with the sweetest of anti-inflammatory foods and adding the mighty Greens Complex powder (check with healthcare provider if pregnant or breastfeeding), which is packed full of nutrients and minerals supplement.

So, here is my recipe for my ‘Anti-inflammatory smoothie’.

So what is in the smoothie?

1/3 Blueberries

1/3 Pineapple

1/3 Coconut milk

1/2 scoop of Organic Greens Complex

Glug of Pineapple juice

This makes a very concentrated smoothie, so I keep it in the fridge and water it down when I am ready to drink it! What do you think?
